I think the thing, and what I'm trying to say is that up until this point people were judging Max based on his aggressiveness/ruthlessness, unwillingness to give an inch on track against his opponents. Which to me was no different than the likes of Senna, Schumacher in their days and even Lewis back in his earlier days.
But this one event to bring up some sort of a grudge 5 months later and make your entire team look like a bunch of fools when it was completely meaningless to your own standing is a completely different thing.
Watching Perez's post race interview where the interviewer asked him if it was something related to Monaco, Perez kind of goes to a blank look, almost like disbelief in his face, like he's thinking "Really? He's still holding a grudge about that?"
I always root for the underdog so I don't have a bandwagon. Last year it was Max simply to dethrone Lewis. This year would have liked to have seen Leclerc put up more of a fight. Next year if Mercedes is competitive from the get go, I'll be rooting for them, hopefully Russell, but I wouldn't be unhappy with another Lewis WC.
