ICBC is the last payer when it comes to lost wages, so you have to use up sick days, vacation, and EI before they cover up to 90%. There is no compensation for pain and suffering or quality of life. Yeah some parts of the system are pretty terrible, unfortunately we can thank all those people who abused the system, treated every accident like winning the lotto, exaggerated injuries and drove all our rates up to the point of being absurd.
It's unfortunate that people are going to get screwed the way the system is now.
