+ How much you drive. If you drive over 500 km a week ev will save you money. I doubt what you're driving does better than 10l/100km in Vancouver traffic. So easy math 50l a week X $1.8 if you fill regular = $360 a month in gas before maintenance + car payments.

isn't a PHEV the worst of both worlds? not a cheap vehicle though cheaper than full EV, because it still uses gas you still have ICE maintenance, b/c of the plug in option (vs a non-plug in hybrid), the battery replacement cost (whenever that'll be) is still expensive...am i missing something here?
i know my buddy's hybrid, he needed a new battery and it was say $700-ish, i'm thinking a non-plug in is more best of both worlds b/c better fuel efficiency but ya you still have normal maintenance...
