I also hate and am saddened how they've hijacked the Canadian flag for their cause as well.

I remember I used to tie a Canada flag to the trunk of my Miata and drive around for Canada Day every year. Now when I see a flag waving it's tarnished by not knowing whether it's truly patriotic or some right wing nut job.
