On the topic of "overpaying" for a used car
I was out with my friend a few days ago, he bought a Subaru Outback two years ago, supposably they were 28k new back then.
He has put on 18,000kms on it, and told me he could sell it for over 30k, I called bullshit
Looked up outbacks on CL, and sure enough, a 2018 with 30,000kms are going for 32k, 2020s with 50kms going for 36k
Talk about a win buying a new car, this will probably be the only time in history you buy a "regular" car, drive it for two years, and it goes up in price
