It can add up fast if you're driving a lot though. Assuming 20k km/yr that's $150 in gas. When I went from BFG KOs to Goodyear Duratracs on my Jeep Cherokee the fuel economy got worse by 2L/100km. That's half of what I paid for the set of tires per year in extra gas.
