This is the thread to ponder where things will go from here. Because skilled labor won't be replaced by AI, but it will be augmented by it. Expertise may be replaced by it, to the point where if someone wants to do something that would normally require years of training, they can just go do it.
And if you look at it from a utopic perspective, this should lead to the elimination of the need for jobs and therefore currency. Think of it like Star Trek, where the pursuit of betterment is the goal of humanity, rather than trying to make ends meet.
Or it could go the other way, where the money gets focused more and more on a very tiny portion of the population. Governments become overrun by corporations, and people become even more slaves to money and consumership. This would be the Cyberpunk route.
Or the way I think it most likely will go, the climate reaches catastrophic levels, and can no longer really sustain most life. The only thing left will be cockroaches and bacteria, until it resets over the next few thousand years (or permanently stays that way, like Venus)
