I feel like this is entirely climate dependent.
Driving an FK8 in SoCal? Literally heaven.
Driving an FK8 in Vancouver? Holy shit the wheel hop.
The FK8/FL5 is defs better on track but the GR makes a compelling all rounder argument (without popping engines like the Focus RS/STI)
