Would the market forces eventually sift out all the discriminatory businesses? I mean if you only appeal to a particular consumer market (right wing) vs. another competitor that serves all consumer markets ... won't one suffer financially at the end of the day and the other win out?

Depends on the location and business. A small town may only have one business in a certain field. Gold River on Vancouver Island only has one gas station Tofino only has 2 and will only ever have 2 due to bylaws.
