I was at the art museum again today, and went back to the Chinese Market pocket watches they had on exhibit, and noticed a familiar name
This is a zodiac calendar watch made in the mid 1800's by Guinand
Yup, that Guinand, which would eventually move to Germany and make Sinn's watches throughout most of its history until the 90's until he bought them. They make some really nice pilot chronos, one of which is one of my personal 'attainable dream watches' if the day ever comes that I can justify spending like $2K on a watch (I know that's peanuts to most people here, but I'm not a big spender)
