Panasonic used to be the brand to get. We're talking way back. In fact, they were called National Rice Cookers. Made by Matsushita Electric (Panasonic). I still have my mom's National Mochi Maker. It's nearly 45 years old, but still makes perfect mochi.
I think they were the only company that made huge ass restaurant size rice cookers. Not sure what's being used nowadays. I used to work at a Japanese distributor that dealt with Matsushita products (when I was in high school). Drove around in a panel van........... pads on the sides that served as not only padding to protect products, but.............
