Yeah the hydraulic cross-linked suspension makes it defy physics. There's no way a 7000lb truck should be able to handle completely flat through a corner at the limit of traction and yet it does. And at the same time also bombs down an off-road trail with such compliance you'd think you'd barely left the tarmac. It's a far cry from my old FJ TT, which had tons of brake dive, jiggly chassis, head tossing: that's what you sign up for when you get a truck. But not with a Rivian  . |
Damn I didn’t know it was that heavy. I’ve prob seen YouTube videos of it and read about it but it didn’t stick. Now it’ll stick since I experienced it first hand. It’s a pretty ridiculous ride. It’s so excessive compared to the start of EVs. But they had much more thought into designing a vehicle that is driven by humans with human needs as opposed to someone who thought their cars would be just driving humans around. But I have to give it to autopilot, which dealt with Vancouver traffic and getting me into downtown stress free. LOL
