In some rare cases, it could be the timing chain tensioner as well but I've probably only seen it once or twice over the years... and not on the same motor.

For ours if even happens after an hour or more stopped, just maybe shorter time or less intense
The video above was when the engine was hot but sitting for about 90 mins.
