The very worst thing that would have happened to him in an open lot would be a big spin out and a little chiding back in the pits. Only one time have have I seen a car go through the fence at Pitt Meadows and that's because of a mechanical failure.

the type of event that it is, and the noobs it attracts mean it shouldn't be on the Mission kart track IMO. The stumps are sketchy (especially in the rain) and there's something mentally about being on a track instead of a cone layout. Most noobs at auto-x are crawling around at first just trying to learn the course layout.

Your boy fucked up for sure - and really he's lucky to get 10k instead of zeroK but still - tough pill to swallow. Hope that thing was a beams/manual swap parts car for somebody.
