It's not that people disagree with what you want, it's that it's not liberal policy that's causing it like you think it is. That's been a Canada thing as long as we have been alive. It doesn't excuse current government from addressing it, but there's a difference between not fixing it and being the cause of it.
Property crime in canada 2021 hit the lowest rate it has been since 1967, so really, that dictates there is probably nowhere to go but up, which it clearly has been. Public perception is based on short term memory, as we know.
Cause of property crime isn't lack of punishment, it's lack of financial opportunity, which I definitely would place some blame on the current government.
Violent crimes were higher from 2001-2012, dropped until 2016 drastically, and have been slowly increasing back to the rates I mentioned.
All this stuff is easily mathematically explained, and easily available, so if you have a perception, just find the numbers and find out if you are right or not. If more people did that we wouldn't have so many stupid news stories and opinions pieces on either side of the spectrum making people think their political party is saving the world while the other ruins it.
