I've never driven to banff in my dual motor model 3 but have driven to seattle and just beyond it as well as to kamloops, multiple times. There have been no issues and no range anxiety. We have kids so when we travel, we are usually stopping for a bite to eat at some point (regardless of a gas or electric vehicle). When we do stop, we plan it around charging.
On our last trip to Olympia, we made it there with about 20% left on our battery. We went to eat dinner and charged at the same time. It took 25 minutes to charge the car to 80%. Driving with a Tesla is far easier to do road trips than any other EV on the market due to their supercharging network being so good.
If you are fear mongering others because of your own insecurities around range anxiety, you're being disingenuous. At least be factual with your concerns instead of letting your own prejudices impact others.
We have had 2 EV's (1 Tesla, 1 VW) and 0 ICE for the last year with no issues.
