When I was 28 (13 years ago now
) I bought someone's bugeye WRX project with a hybrid STI block and all the goodies... I was a little embarassed with the loud subaru exhaust and even louder blowoff valve that 21yo me would have loved to blast around in.
Nowadays my 997 gives me the analog visceral sports car experience and the aftermarket exhaust is loud enough to be fun. I miss the JDM world a ton but in my 40s it's just not me anymore.
