If you keep up your health and fitness you can still keep up with a 15 yr old at 60 if you are looking to hike and run around and kick a ball. At your 40's and 50's you aren't really chasing explosive strength and big muscles, instead maintaining your cardio and maintain muscle mass and bone density so you can still handle the high impact exercises. There's still plenty of very active and healthy ppl at 60 nowadays.

About a decade ago when we were in our 20's, we went hiking at Lynn Canyon, and we out hiked by a 63 yr old on the trail who passed us going up, and then said hi again and laughed with us as he came back down while he were STILL going up.
