I’m no social science major, but as you said, events like this have a devastating ripple effect in the community at large. I think that’s part of Eby’s statement being so angry with it. Finally they have some positive vibes going on and a guy goes on a stabbing spree?
It’s not a bigger story because people didn’t die, but that doesn’t really matter for the bigger picture, the damage is done
