The Celica GT-S should have never come with an automatic transmission... I currently have a 2003 GT-S (6psd manual) and it's no drag car off the line, but if you keep it boiling the power/weight combo on the highway is pretty decent. The L in the VVTL-i hits satisfyingly hard/sounds pretty thrilling when you've got your boot into it in 2nd/3rd gear.
