Can confirm the round of fall illnesses are back. My kid had caught something from school, and had been sick since Friday. It's a PITA.
I am also concerned about the way my kid talks, but it is an accent thing. His bestie is from a Honger family, and although he is as fluent in English as a kid can be, he speaks with a decidedly Honger Canto accent.
So my kid picks up after that, and that's pretty much how he speaks as well, and it annoys me to no end. And because we want to make sure he retains as much of his Canto speaking abilities as possible, we almost exclusively speak Canto to him at home, so there isn't much time for us to practice speaking English, and have me correct his accent.
I don't see how I can salvage a win out of this... at least, not any time soon...
