This isn’t some high level spy whose history they didn’t vet, his background and the resulting uproar is literally most basic WW2 history lesson you could possibly know. Everyone on either side of the room is a complete joke and really there aren’t any passes to go around lol

The real lesson here is that the lines of the two sides of that war around those regions of Europe at that time wasn't exactly all black and white.
I mean, Russia had just did Holodomor and killed 3.5-5 Million Ukranians six years prior to WW2. I can fully understand why this guy would have had a chip on his shoulder and would have joined the Germans to kill Russians.
I don't think North Americans can fully relate to what was going on back then over there.
