On topic of useless / questionable people at companies

We sub contract alot of trades, the best of the best:

Roofers: they attach their fall protection to rooftop unit gas lines

Coring: you mark a 8x8 hole to be cut, and it needs to be within a 10x10 mark you laid out. Because everything past the 10x10 is structural. (After you spent 1500$ on an engineer to sign off, and another 600$ for a scan.)
You show up after they cored it, and sure enough, they cored it outside the 10x10 mark somehow.

Coring v2: they core into a parkade, and leave all the material, water, and the mess for you to clean up

Electricians: you ask to run electrical to a unit. They run their conduit, or electrical box, blocking off access to open the unit door.

Engineers: they design hvac systems so there is no access to open doors, once it's installed it doesn't need servicing right...right?!?!??
The ongoing joke here is an HVAC banged an engineer's wife, so since then it's been payback.

Painters: these guys are GODS at painting over nameplate data on units.

Store clerks at supply houses +HVAC apprentices: you ask for 10 parts, and half of them are wrong on pick up.
Bonus points if your apprentice picks up the parts, and shows up to site 1hr away with said parts.
Extra bonus points if you show your apprentice the list you ordered, asked them to check said list on pickup, and they still show up with the wrong parts.

Man I wish I had my old phone with pre 2017 photos. We now have a "hall of fame" at our office with photos of stupid shit we see on the job. YouTube / Reddit quality stuff. (Yes half of it is our own HVAC guys doing QUALITY degenerate shit)
