I've had both and the F150 is by far my favorite. The gas mileage is very similar even though my F150 has a V8, and the Taco had no balls. The interior room alone makes the F150 worth it.
The Taco is a basic bitch truck that will last you forever if you plan to keep it that long. I've had my F150 almost 9 years now though and it's been great.
