Hence why I said X1. The footprint is quite small, easily smaller than the Supra. I thought the same way before but I guess cause I have kids. It's just so much easier with a SUV to just huck everything in and not have to slowly tetris every time you need to get something.

You can always get around the driving dynamics by paying more Something like a Macan GTS would solve that problem.
The goal is to move back to Vancouver, but given macro economic trends such as the economy, political circumstances, industries stalling, and career opportunities, it's much harder to move back now.

A cousin of mine got a Macan GTS but the rear seats are really tight. We did seriously consider a Panamera GTS but holy, one thing goes wrong, it's like $15K just to replace the air suspension, or $9000 for the stupid spoiler.

I am okay with European maintenance costs, but stupid failures that are doomed to happen, no way. Not to mention, insurance for the Panamera GTS is $2900 per year whereas say the Lexus ES350 or LS500 is only a hair under $1000/year.

This secondary vehicle has to make sense financially. If all I had was Revscene money (which is all of you on this forum) this wouldn't even be a discussion. But sadly, that is not my reality hahaha

Edit: Re - wagons. We did consider an A4/A6 Allroad but they are hard to come by in decent shape/condition and reasonable mileage. They don't pop up on the market often and roastpuff was kind enough to help us find some good examples, but they're all in Quebecistan so no thank you, hard pass. Toronto Audi dealers wont even entertain a test drive unless you offered cash on the spot so they can choke on a big one.

We checked out the C and E-class Mercedes wagons and they are going for quite a premium. A7 was something to consider, but do I want to deal with an engine-out timing chain repair? I may like my broken Italian garbage and odd ball German car repairs, but I don't think I can handle Audi-level punishment.
