The majority of posters on RS make well over 100K (some likely several hundred K), but 100K doesn't go as far as it used to, particularly for those without real estate in their portfolio.
Also, if you haven't noticed, the salary transparency act is now in effect in BC:

While some companies will probably not comply, you'll have more credibility going forward to call out your friends on their BS and their incomes based on their job titles.
