Nah. Cars are meant to be used and driven. I never understood the idea to buy a car and treat it with more care than a baby. Unless you are buying it for collection purposes, but what’s the fun of owning a car if you don’t use it fully? Mechanical is one thing, because that’s what keeping a car at its peak performance.
At some point, I was playing with an idea of getting an exotic as main driver. But the Ferrari and Lamborghini sales looked at me as a weirdo when I told them I wanted one that’s best suited for daily driving and needed one with the least amount of work. And the fact that my kids aren’t old enough to seat in the front, which are the only seats available put that idea to rest.
I’m however still hunting an NSX-R or an old version Ford GT. Heard many great things about them being super fun DDs. Not practical, but will suited as a DD.
