I'm not fully versed in SEO, but isn't it something like:
1. Anger -> Clicks -> Ad Dollars on the article
2. Anger -> Engagement -> Better SEO Ranking + Shares on Social Media
I'm growing increasingly tired of headlines that use "slams", "blasts", "dead at xx" etc.
