They put the 2GR into some interesting things, we just didn't get them or didn't get the cool kids version.

The RWD FSE went into the GR Mark X with a 6sp back in 2018. That would have been the car I'd be driving if they offered here.
The Aussies got the Aurion TRD which is a Camry with a SC 2GR.

The most performance we got here was the IS350. The 2GR combined with the gen3 IS F sport chassis was amazing, but by then BMW was already into the 350hp territory with the N55 and not many were sold.

Honda never made a huge splash with their J engines, but they were decent in the TL's which came with a stick up till 2012.

Nissan was making the VQ37 till last year with the 370Z.

But yeah not much to choose from brand new.
