My parents lived with 8 other people in a one bedroom in England. In Canada then rented out what every they had for $300-$400 a month in the 70's and 80's. That led to this.
Over 20 years your friends could have made 200k plus and turned that into a million plus buy the time they retired. Buy hey it's hard trying to figure out how to store $500 worth of alcohol when you have vacation renters coming over.
