It's an interesting trend I've noticed with the frunk, most of the established auto players aren't offering a frunk. The shared platform cars I can understand like the Kona EV, BMW i4, etc as the front engine area and passenger volume may not be suited to keep mechanics or electronics for best space optimization. But for cars like the VW ID/Audi Q4, BMW iX, Hyundai ionic5, and MB EQE. They are all bespoke platforms but all lack a frunk. You'd think they'd be able to optimize all the bits and make a frunk.
While I was typing that, I guess maybe it's good for ease of repair. Something that a regular automaker would think about, but Tesla probably won't.
