The 50e has a new system compared to the 45e, I don't know if it moved on to a higher voltage architecture, or it borrowed new developments from the iX. The iX is supposed to be the most energy efficient EV SUV according Edmunds

We looked at the iX and I really liked the interior(you don't see the exterior when you are inside right?
), but I can't get around the mileage limits when we do 4-5 road trips a year.
