Well my point was moreso that cost of driving is not a position most car enthusiasts take, so while it may make economic sense to convert to EV based on your day-to-day requirements for driving, it's kind of hard to argue it from a car enthusiast standpoint.
I guess it depends what floats your boat. If you assign more HP to tech or straight line acceleration from a stop, then you'll be happy. If you like shifting gears and hearing an engine then you won't be.
I only commented because a G-wagon is a mystifying purchase for anyone to make, it's literally a useless vehicle to anyone besides social status / image seekers. The Jeep Alsulzer mentions above probably drives about the same, but at least you can take a Jeep offroad somewhat carefree or do stuff with it... can you imagine a G63 with steamroller tires trying to navigate a couple of rocks on a service road at $354,000 after taxes LOL
