Don’t get it twisted, the current rendition of this NDP has been -terrible- for organized labour.
This isn’t Jack Layton etc. or previous eras that legitimately supported unionized workers, there have been numerous examples where the NDP all but abandoned some of the strongest unions in this country (rail, longshore, etc)
It’s like everything else in this country, when things are the worst they’ve ever been, you vote for anything different.
Steelworkers had some fucking clown with the gall to say “I’m going to talk to Jagmeet and get him on board with the Telus plight!” I straight up told this clown in front of 200+ people that you’re a fool if you think this guy is going to even mention your cause. And surprise surprise! They didn’t do shit, they couldn’t even pull together their anti-scab legislation, and the Telus workforce got decimated.
Also you say the cons support right to work legislation so they are the bad guy, the fucking liberals and NDP have done nothing but force return to work acts on the biggest, most powerful unions lol.. so what’s the difference?
