I looked into get a prefab house before we bought this McMansion.
Specifically “steel framed” prefabs but they were quite expensive. Like a 3000sqft prefab was over a 1.5mill and a design that was quite boxy. Majority of the designs seems to require a modern aesthetic with flat roofs and minimalist interior.
Ultimately it didn’t seem to make any sense from a price point. The only upside was they were able to erect the home in about 6-8weeks instead of the usual 1.5 year build.
