But when you search insurance rates across Canada, almost every single article says BC is the second highest behind Ontario on average.
Like to Manics graph there and to idiot Rustads point, I don’t really care if old or young peoples insurance is higher, because I’m fairly certain those are the people getting into accidents.
If no ICBC means that someone like myself can get substantially cheaper insurance privately, than I 100% support getting rid of ICBC because why should good drivers bear the cost of the people getting into accidents?
I’ve got 20+ years without a single claim and my insurance has been the same if not more over the last decade. It went UP $100 this past renewal.

From jan 2023
https://www.insurancebusinessmag.com...ed-432632.aspx
Alberta - $3,151
Nova Scotia - $2,491
Ontario - $2,299
New Brunswick - $2,187
Newfoundland - $2,162
BC - $1,775
PEI - $1,703
Manitoba - $1,373
Saskatchewan - $1,249
That's from an insurance trade mag. Every province above BC is private. Everyone below is public. You really think galen weston jr is going to give you a good deal.
