I managed to sell a bunch of stuff last week over the internal board at work, and that was a totally different experience. People who replied would actually buy your shit, barring something like a bike geometry not turning out to be correct for them. And then make an offer close to or at asking price, or if not, then actually going to the trouble of citing data supporting why they thought it was worth a different amount.
I guess that's the difference when you know where they work, down to their desk location, and could look up their manager
