That's the provincial government not ICBC. ICBC is just the only way the province can enforce it. Valuation tool is Canadian Black Book.
Again I don't thin ICB is the be all and end all, lots of horror stories out there... but those are true regardless of where you go in the world. Someone always has a negative interaction.
My Supra is a deal in AB with private... if it's STOCK... which is why I specified that car enthusiasts are crazy to want private.
Wife's uncle is a flipper no matter how you slice it... he got burned made a bad call... not like he didn't know the number were there before he went ahead with it / it shouldn't have been a surprise to him.
It is nice in AB that there's zero tax on private used car sales... but again that has absolutely nothing to do with insurance.
