Private insurer will charge more but give you a discount if you install their telematics so big brother can monitor your driving usage and adjust your rates accordingly.
Also if you get a ticket a bit more severe than speeding 20 over such as cellphone or excessive speed it’s likely they will either drop you asap or at renewal. Good luck convincing other insurers to cover you without paying an exorbitant premium.
I do agree it’s communist to charge sales tax again and again on a used vehicle but that’s the NDP. It’s also the liberals that introduced the luxury tax though.
