Ubisoft is set to release their next Assassin's Creed (delayed) and if it doesn't do insane numbers, they're fucked. In other words, they're fucked. They'll probably get bought by a VC and torn apart.
Edit: Sony shut down 2 more studios, including the one that made Concord. So if the reported numbers are true, Concord may have been the biggest flop in media history. Bigger than any other video game or any movie. Half a billion dollars down the drain. |
Assassins Creed games will always do well, even the crappy ones have a really big following. AC Mirage was a big hit, so there's high confidence. The big reason this latest one got delayed, and it was understood, that they are re writing the dialogue due to new information on the supposed black samurai (did not really exist, source material is all from one person who made it up).
