I don’t think your idea is that janky. It’s a fire table, I don’t know anyhow who keeps those things cranked. For a patio heater or a BBQ I’d be worried about output, but not with a fire table. You’ll be fine.

I should say I really don’t know what I’m taking about and just enough to be dangerous lol. Perhaps someone knowledgeable could chime in, but if frictional loss is the main culprit to pressure drop, the new line could be made out of a larger diameter hose. Just use an adaptor. You should see less of a drop over that section…
