Someone said Blizzaks isn't great for wet tire performance.. this is very accurate. I almost died 8 times to/from the mechanics on Hwy 99/17/1. The roads are FLOODED and man it's just grip the wheel and pray lol.
(also wtf is up with idiots sitting in the left lane pacing a semi truck.. its like they love getting waterboarded. Get past the truck and move over, you'll be able to see that way)
Anyway, I went to get my brother's tires mounted. He bought Kumho Wintercraft Ice Wi31 from QuattroTires for $380.90 shipped, steelies for $40, and I got it installed for $75. Sub $500, not bad.
Summer set will be used Conti ECS on the stockies, $275 installed.
All in price for $771 for two sets. CC2 would have been $1080 installed. Plus I'm still very doubtful that CC2 would be able to climb the hills I live around. I'm much happier with him having proper winter tires.
