I have a friend who is a prof at Langara, VCC and UBC. The amount of poor quality students is astonishing. Granted, most of his students are on visas and from India. He says it really just sucks for those in the demographic who really are working hard and trying to make a difference in their lives - bogged down and lumped together with all the other low quality individuals. It's a race to do as little as possible to stay in Canada.
