Additional note: Blood tests (and the urine and ECG tests) have largely replaced all the other tests doctors used to order when you got older - like they no longer need to stick their finger up your butt to check your prostate anymore and they can catch things like cancel via the test.
If you're over 45 and were avoiding seeing the doctor b/c you didn't want your butthole to be tickled in that kinda way you can now rest easy and make that appointment to get a blood test instead.
