Same goes for Japan, the bombs weren’t dropped specifically to end the war, it was to stop the spread of communism. Which, you can debate how well that went
There is a bit of irony in the world has always had this polarizing opinion, rightfully so, of the US in that they go to other countries and completely fuck them up. But on the flip side, and you even see this today and when Trump just spoke to the global council or whatever that assembly was, Trump basically said enough is enough, we’re focusing on the US first and foremost. And the instant reaction from people who gave their opinion was but…but… you need to support the rest of the world!
Can’t really have it both ways, if you’re gonna ask for help, they’re gonna have their fingers in things.

That America is from a different era. Post wwii was the containment of communism and preventing more nations from falling behind the iron curtain.
Nowadays nobody gives a shit about that, not even the Americans. Globalism is here and our economy’s are all so integrated together that any significant pivot (ie crazy bat shit trump) is going to have global repercussions. You shouldn’t support this idiot for rocking the global boat as that’s what causes instability which leads to extremism and violence.
