Many people probably have Tesla stock in their portfolio and I doubt most here are ethical investors. It's all about the returns.

Trump has already started socializing short term pain and there are enough people who will believe anything that he says. There will be pain for sure, but will enough companies want to move their manufacturing back to the States? The administration wants to eliminate income tax, which is why they're gutting the federal bureaucracy and threatening tariffs to balance the books. I doubt the math works in the end, but who knows?
When the prices of gas, cars, and food go up, he'll put the blame on Canada and say that we're posing a threat to their national security. After that, who knows? All bets are off.
Dark times for sure.
