The only thing kids today can afford to do are drugs, becoming trans, or saving for school/buying their first property.
I worked doing snow shoveling in Big White for a season and talked to a ton of young people who were in their late teens / early 20's and working up there, and the situation sounded fucking bleak from what those kids told me.
Pretty sure the only people living it up like we did when we were in our teens and early 20's have millionaire boomer parents bankrolling them in 2025.
