Interestingly, OTOH, I quite like my friend's F36 440i MPPK. The B58 even with 4 fatasses in it is astonishingly good. It feels like an tuned N55 (DP+tune), but better and OEM. And the drivetrain feels great. ZF8 and EDC is quite well tuned.
That said, I haven't had extensive time with it like I have in the tuned F10 535i ("520i"), lowered on BCRs. The transmission does feel a little slower or at least not as intelligent, even with a transmission tune. Throttle response / pedal dead zone is quite a drastic comparison too. It could be the extra weight, but I doubt it. I'm not sure which one's faster tbh. Haven't tried a full launch in the F36, but the F10 does throw you back harder.
Not sure if there's a MPE for MPPK from factory, but this burbles in "Sport". It's quite good from the outside. Not too obnoxious like the 5er, it's very subtle but you can hear it. I'm pretty sure there's pumped in exhaust audio, but I don't mind it and I wouldn't mind not having a catback. Or maybe it's cause I haven't daily driven in 2 months and having driven the past two days has tortured me.
