Villages turned to ashes for failing impossible quotas. That wasn't a "foreign invasion", that was self-inflicted under CCP rule.
The Cultural Revolution of 1966-1976, millions more purged, imprisoned, or tortured. Families ripped apart, intellectuals beaten to death in the streets, priceless historical artifacts obliterated. Not by British imperialists, but by China's own government against its own people. 哎呀!
Tiananmen Square in 1989, where thousands of students massacred for daring to ask for basic freedoms. Crushed by tanks, shot in the streets. That wasn't "white men" killing them.
