I'm a bit puzzled that this round of aero regulations only last 4 years - hardly time for them to mature or to do iterations on them (though the cars have been pretty difficult to drive). I get the engines changing since they've been around since 2014 but new aero regs seem too early. I guess it's to do with how the new engines work and they need to cut drag in a bit way.
Wish they gave it another year or two.
